I'm drawn to the process of layering - each layer a step deeper into the unknown. I don't start with a fixed idea, but instead, I let the painting reveal itself layer by layer. I love the free flow of creating abstract shapes with layers, digging deep to express whatever emotions are up at the time through the use of bold colour and strokes. It truly is an intuitive process as I work to let go, never finding it easy, but always worth creating.
